How to fix double click issue on SteelSeries Sensei 310

  • Share

I used to really like this mouse, but not it’s started to double click after 4 months so much that I just can’t recommend it. I’ll probably  have to get a new mouse soon. Pretty disappointed overall now.

This mouse has defective click mechanisms. Sometimes a single click registers as a double-click.  It is unusable for normal use. I saw it acting strange but could not  really identify it was the mouse until after my return window was  closed. It was a complete waste of money. To fix it, it seems you need  to replace the mechanisms which require removing and soldering things on  the circuit board inside the mouse, which I am not prepared to do. Such  a bad experience, and I used to like SteelSeries but it would take a  lot to convince me now to buy their products.

But, somehow my mouse do not have the double click issue anymore. My left click now behave as usual click 🙂

This is what i do:

  1. Unplug the usb cable attached to your computer.
  2. Crazy clicking like crazy ( :D) any mouse button, especially your defect “double-click” mouse button for about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Plug the usb cable again into your computer.
  4. Try to test if any double-click issue behavior has been gone.

That’s it. Hope you will find it useful and make your mouse normal again.
